FPCCFCU is launching a new security tool designed to streamline and secure the member authentication process. With MemberPass, members can easily verify their identity via text message when making credit union transactions both in branch and over the phone, bypassing traditional verification methods such as providing a social security number.
In order to use MemberPass, members must have a current cell phone phone number registered to their account, as well as a cell phone that supports text messaging and internet browsing with a lock screen enabled. MemberPass is a form of two-factor authentication providing both convenience and an additional layer of security for account access. When interacting with credit union representatives, you may be asked if you would like to enroll in MemberPass. In order to enroll, simply click the link sent to your phone via secure.memberpass.id.
Following your enrollment, for future transactions, you will receive a secure, encrypted verification request to your phone. Once you respond to the verification question, your identity will be cryptographically verified and the transaction will be authorized in less than 15 seconds!
