Set your terms and determine your dividends
If you’re fortunate enough to have some extra savings and want to earn higher dividends than a regular savings, checking or money market account, consider investing in a share certificate. Our Share Certificate allows you to choose the deposit amount and the terms, ranging from six months to five years, with no monthly fee.
More reasons to invest
Guaranteed fixed rate of return
When you invest in our Share Certificates, there is no guessing. You pick the deposit amount, the term, and the rate. You’ll be able to calculate your dividends upon maturity at the beginning of your investment. Early withdrawal fees may apply.
Short-term and long-term investing
With terms ranging from six months to five years or more, you have a variety of investment options to meet your personal needs. If you think rates will rise, invest in a shorter term. If you think rates will decline or remain the same, invest in a long-term share certificate.
Low initial opening deposit
You can open a share certificate with as little as $300, while a money market account often requires a larger deposit and doesn’t earn as high a rate.
Federally insured
Share certificates are federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), a US government agency. Each account is federally insured up to $250,000, so you know your funds are safe and sound. Excess Share Insurance provides at least $250,000 additional protection on member share accounts.
